Ty's Take
Big Red Car Wash opening back up after years of fits and starts says something about this county that matters more than a ribbon cutting. Somebody stuck with that property through the stops and starts, through whatever kept pushing the project back, and finished the job. That's the kind of stubborn that built Texas County in the first place, and it's the kind you don't see as much anymore when things get hard. Meanwhile, new school buses rolling into Houston ISD because somebody wrote a grant and the board said yes, that's the other side of the same coin. Small towns survive on people who believe tomorrow's worth building for, whether it's a business that washes mud off ranch trucks or kids who need reliable transportation to get to class. Both things matter here.
