Ty's Take
Most days in a county this size you get the usual run of it, weather and school board meetings and somebody's prize heifer. Then a Wednesday comes along and the patrol pulls two kids out of the dirt south of Licking, and up in the sky somewhere Troop G is working a double fatality, and down in Houston a truck takes out a pole and half the town's sitting in the dark. You can't make sense of any single one of those things on its own. But that's how it goes sometimes. The week catches up with you all at once, reminds you that living here is living with risk, whether you're riding an ATV or driving a truck or just being in the wrong place when something falls from the sky. Good news is we've got people who know what to do when it happens. The better news is somebody's setting up a fiber studio on Main Street, which means somebody still believes we've got a future worth making beautiful.
