Ty's Take
Road accidents that end with the injured party facing charges are usually the ones that stick with a community, and this one out of Raymondville won't be any different. When the person hurt in the wreck is the one law enforcement decides to prosecute, people around here know there's a story underneath the story, the kind that doesn't always make it into the official report. We don't know what led to whatever happened out there, but Texas County sheriff's deputies apparently had reason to believe this Hartshorn woman's own actions put her in the ditch or into whatever came next. Those are the wrecks that remind folks that the road doesn't care about intentions, only outcomes, and sometimes both the road and the law have a say in how the day ends.
