Ty's Take

Heat advisory hanging over the county through the weekend means folks need to keep an eye on their cattle and make sure the water troughs stay full, because cattle don't do well when the thermometer climbs and the humidity sits heavy in the Ozarks like this. The good news is Cabool's Farm Fest is still coming up, and if you need to get out and see neighbors or talk equipment and livestock with folks who understand what you're dealing with, that's the place to do it. Timing like that always matters in a farming community, because you never know when you'll get a chance to sit down with somebody who's figured out a better way to handle the heat or stretch feed through a tough stretch. Mark those dates on the calendar and plan to be there.
