Ty's Take
Nancy Carol Coates and Thomas Ocie Williams both left this world in recent days, and their names in the Bulletin remind us that the Hatch Valley's real wealth has never been measured in bushels or market prices. These were people who lived here, raised families here, watched the chile seasons turn over year after year. The obits don't tell you much, but anyone who's been around long enough knows that's where the real stories live, in the quiet ones who showed up to work and church and knew their neighbors by name. A slow week in the news cycle is sometimes just a reminder that the biggest things happening in a town like ours don't make the papers.
