Ty's Take

Sheriff's office got itself tangled up again this week, and if you've been paying attention since 2018, you know that's not a situation that settles quick in Shannon County. The details are still sorting themselves out, but when law enforcement starts turning inward it doesn't take long before folks who live here start asking hard questions about who's keeping an eye on things. We've got rivers to float, land to work, and a community that's trying to move forward, but we can't do any of that properly if the people we're supposed to trust are working against themselves. The Current Wave will have the full accounting when the facts shake loose, and they deserve to be known straight. Until then, that knot in your chest when you see the sheriff's department in the news again? That's fair. That's earned.
