Ty's Take
Eight years is a long time to wait for answers, and this county knows something about that kind of waiting. The charges that came down this week in the Tory Sanders case—three people now facing murder counts, former lawmen facing their own reckoning—mark the kind of turning point that doesn't erase what came before but at least says somebody finally decided the books needed balancing. Shannon County's been living with questions and suspicions long enough. Whether these charges hold up in court is for the lawyers now, but for a community that's spent nearly a decade watching its own law enforcement get picked apart and second-guessed, there's at least the beginning of closure in seeing the wheels actually turn.
