Ty's Take
Eight years is a long time to wait for answers, and longer still when the people who were supposed to be finding them end up in the dock themselves. Three arrests now in the Tory Sanders case, and charges piling up against former law enforcement—the kind of reckoning that forces a county to look hard at itself and ask what went wrong in those early days when it mattered most. Eminence and this whole stretch of the Ozarks have carried that case like a stone in a boot, and maybe now there's a chance to set it down. Cold cases don't stay cold forever, and neither do questions about who's supposed to keep the peace when the peace gets broken.
