A year into the state park pass program for New Mexico veterans, and you've got to figure the thing's working the way it was supposed to. Free access to places like City of Rocks and Rockhound State Park isn't charity, it's recognition, and out here where a lot of folks have served and most of us know someone who did, that matters. Meanwhile, the daylight saving time conversation keeps circling back around like it does every spring, and whether it sticks permanent or we keep flipping clocks twice a year probably won't change much about how we live.
