School zones are running hot again, which means somebody's kid is walking to Cesar Chavez or one of the other schools and a driver in a hurry is about to learn why those 20 mile-per-hour signs exist. Every fall we get the reminders, every fall a few folks treat them like suggestions. It's the time of year when a principal or a cop has to explain to a parent why their child ended up in the ditch, and nobody wants that conversation. Take the three minutes.
