Ty's Take
School districts all over Montana keep circling back to the four-day week, and East Helena's latest push to gather community feedback on the idea tells you something about where we are right now. It's not some fringe experiment anymore, it's a practical conversation about money and logistics and what works for families who can't always sync up with traditional calendars. The school board there knows they need to talk to people before they decide, which is the right move. You'll see more of this kind of thing here in Yellowstone County before too long, especially if energy sector families keep working schedules that don't bend to the old bell curve.
