Ty's Take
Homecoming week tends to bring out what's best in a small town, and the Sweet Grass Herders are no exception. While there's labor trouble south of here and court business keeping the sheriff's office busy, our high school's got its mind on Friday night lights and the parade route downtown, which is how it should be. These are the nights young people remember, the ones that stick with them after they've moved away or stayed put and built their own lives here. The Herders will play their game under the Crazy Mountain stars, the stands will fill up, and for a few hours the whole valley comes together the way it's supposed to. That matters more than most people stop to think about.
