Ty's Take
The college athletic calendar keeps rolling regardless of what else is happening around here, and that's as it should be. Adams State's teams give us something to watch and root for when the high valley weather turns mean and the daylight starts running short, and the kids themselves learn what it takes to compete at altitude where the air won't cooperate. Meanwhile, Heritage for All just added nine more sites across the San Luis Valley to their growing network, which speaks to something deeper about who we are: a place old enough and layered enough that there's history worth preserving in the small corners, not just the famous ones. Monday mornings in October can feel like the season's already turning, but around here the real rhythm is just getting started.
