The Rio Grande commissioners made the right call this week, and you can bet the reasoning had everything to do with water. Data centers are thirsty operations, and around here that's not an abstract problem, it's the difference between keeping your ditch running and watching it go dry. We've fought too long and too hard over every drop of that river to hand over millions of gallons to servers humming in a warehouse somewhere else's problem. The valley's got other ways to grow without betting our future on the kind of infrastructure that doesn't care much about the people living downstream.
