Ty's Take
A state senator getting kicked by a cow is the kind of story that reminds you why we live out here instead of somewhere else, and also why you ought to pay attention when you're around livestock. The senator's fine, which is what matters, but it's one of those reminders that rural life doesn't care much about your title or your seniority. Out here a horse or a steer will humble you quick, and there's probably a lesson in that for everyone spending their time in Santa Fe arguing about things that matter a whole lot less than knowing which end of a ranch animal might hurt you. Glad he's okay, and hopefully he's got a good story to tell when he gets back to the Capitol.
