Ty's Take

Our kids are running hard this fall, and you can see it in the results coming back from Ruidoso and on the soccer pitch right here at home. There's something about September and October in a military town that gets people moving, maybe it's the cooling air or maybe it's just the rhythm of a new school year settling in. The boys soccer team showed some grit in that round robin, and our distance runners are placing at the bigger meets, which tells you the coaching is solid and the kids are putting in the work. It's worth taking a minute to vote for your Athlete of the Week, too. These young people are out there representing Alamogordo, and in a town like this, that matters.
