Ty's Take

Spring's here and the fish are biting, which means half the county that isn't tied up at the Base or out working cattle is probably thinking about heading to one of the lakes or creeks. Around here that's not idle talk, it's the rhythm we move by. The Tularosa Basin gives us good water when we've got it, and right now conditions sound favorable enough that folks ought to get out and take advantage before the heat locks down in July and August. Nothing settles a man's mind like an early morning on the water with a rod in his hand, and nothing reminds you why you stay in a place like this quite like that first fish of the season hitting your line.
