Ty's Take
Slow news day in the basin, which around here usually means somebody's thinking about the future instead of fighting about the past. The new Family Resource Center sounds like the kind of thing that gets built when folks decide their kids matter more than being right, and in a town where Holloman shapes half the economy and ranching shapes the other half, that's worth noticing. Between that and whatever's happening at the dance hall and somebody finally writing down how to throw together a charcuterie board without making it look like you tried too hard, there's a rhythm to it. Not every week needs to be about water rights or missile tests. Some weeks we just get to be a community putting down roots a little deeper.
