State police investigate Alamogordo officer involved shooting
State police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Alamogordo on Wednesday, August 26, in which police officers shot and killed a 50-year-old man. The incident began with a call to officers and remains under investigation with details still developing.
The Alamogordo City Commission voted to table a motion restricting access to the Bonito Reservoir, contrary to what was incorrectly reported in the August 27 edition of the Alamogordo News. The decision will be revisited at the commission's September 22 meeting.
