Lea County oilfield thieves facing federal charges after indictments filed in Lubbock
Federal prosecutors have indicted 14 people from Texas and New Mexico in connection with a major oilfield theft ring operating in the Permian Basin. The charges mark the third significant bust targeting oil equipment theft in the region since September.
