Ty's Take
Civic center's hosting a debate Wednesday night, and if you've got questions worth asking, the organizers want to hear them—that's the kind of thing that works best when it's not just the usual suspects doing the talking. Meanwhile, down in Dent and Ozark counties folks are nursing injuries from a pair of rough crashes, which is a reminder that those new speed limits taking effect later this month on the rural interstates cut both ways: saves time getting feed to the stockyard or supplies into town, but it demands respect on roads that don't forgive. Good news is Ozarks Medical Center keeps proving why stroke minutes matter, and around here we're lucky to have that kind of response time. Mountain Grove's Heritage Festival and Mountain View's Pioneer Days are both ramping up their planning, which means fall's already sneaking into the calendar whether we're ready or not.
