Water treatment and block parties, hospital plans and ambulance crews—it reads like a slow Tuesday until you remember that every one of these stories is somebody in this county trying to keep the lights on and the doors open. The wastewater plant doesn't fix itself, the hospital doesn't survive on good intentions, and EMS doesn't show up on fumes and faith. We've got maybe 6,000 people here doing the grinding work that doesn't make state news, just the kind of work that keeps a place breathing. That's worth noticing.
