Ty's Take
The county's finally getting its turn in line for some serious road work on I-10, and anybody who's white-knuckled through here during monsoon season knows it's overdue. These interstate stretches don't fix themselves, and when the rain comes hard in August, the pavement around Grant County shows every year it's been neglected. The work crews will tear things up for a while, sure, but this is one of those projects where the short-term mess actually pays off long enough that it matters, whether you're hauling ore, heading to the mountains, or just trying to get through without your suspension taking another hit. Pay attention to the timeline and plan your routes if you've got business on the interstate, because once they start, they start.
