The August primary is almost here, which means the usual parade of forums and candidate nights is hitting full stride around the county. The Republican forum happening this week gives folks a chance to see who's stepping up for the local races, and that matters more than you'd think in a county like ours where a lot of these positions actually shape how things work day to day. At the same time, the Ozark Area Theatre is reminding us all that life isn't just about politics and pothole talk, and that's worth remembering too. Some nights you need to vote, some nights you need to laugh at something ridiculous on stage, and most folks here know the difference.
