Ty's Take
Highway 160 torn up again, water running short, and half the county wondering if we're going to price ourselves out of existence before the next big fire season hits—but here we are anyway, still showing up to tell our stories at the history museum, still bringing in musicians from Nashville to remind us what home sounds like, still arguing about what Colorado ought to be. That's not nothing. In a place this small, where everybody knows whose grandfather ran cattle where and what the wet years looked like, the work of keeping memory alive is as much infrastructure as asphalt or irrigation. So if you've got family stories gathering dust, or if you just need to hear live music that isn't piped through a condo speaker, get out this week. We're still here.
