2 Injured in La Mesilla Fire

The Española Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire in La Mesilla on June 25, where firefighters launched an aggressive attack and conducted a primary search of the structure. Two people were injured in the blaze.

No Bail for Accused Chisel-Wielding Thief

A Chimayó man accused of breaking into a Walmart cash register and threatening an employee with a chisel has been ordered held without bail. Sebastian Abeyta, 36, was deemed a danger to the community and will remain in custody pending trial.
