Ty's Take
The Blue Alert out of Christian County reminds us how dangerous police work remains in rural Missouri, and our thoughts are with that deputy's family and fellow officers. Closer to home, Lake Ozark's move to ban public marijuana smoking makes practical sense — nobody wants to deal with that around the kids at the city dock or during busy summer weekends when we've got families everywhere. It's one of those common-sense local government moves that shows our city councils are thinking ahead instead of playing catch-up after problems develop.
