Ty's Take
A handful of our high school kids made the trip to Helena this week for something called Heads Up Camp—a chance to shadow folks working in behavioral health and mental wellness. It's worth noting because the kids who go to camps like that don't always come back talking about scrap metal schemes or traffic fatalities. They come back thinking about helping people. In a region where we've lost too many to addiction and despair, and where the pipeline of trained counselors and therapists runs thin, that matters more than a lot of us are willing to admit out loud.
