Ty's Take
Three years is a solid vote of confidence for anybody running a university, especially one that anchors a valley like ours. Tandberg's got his hand on the pulse of Adams State—the enrollment numbers, the regional reputation, the pipeline of kids from San Luis County who need a place to stay close to home and build something. You don't hand out three-year renewals to somebody you're hedging on, not in higher ed. Meanwhile, downtown's getting its alleys fixed up, the farmers' market is back, and somebody's out there trying to get folks to see rattlesnakes as neighbors instead of threats. That's the kind of week where a town isn't treading water—it's moving forward on the things that matter.
